Clemson Rowing finished in 11th place with 29 points at the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Rowing Championships, which concluded on May 16. Junior Rose Imbesi earned a spot on the All-ACC Third Team for her performance during the event.

The competition featured a strong field, including seven teams ranked by the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association: Stanford, California, Virginia, Syracuse, Duke, Miami, and North Carolina. The Tigers advanced all four of their boats to petite finals after Friday’s preliminary heats.

On Saturday morning, Clemson’s First Varsity Eight delivered its best result of the day by finishing third in its petite final with a time of 6:33.000. This was the third-fastest time among non-grand final boats in that event. The Second Varsity Eight placed fourth in its petite final with a time of 6:49.710. In other races, Clemson’s First Varsity Four finished sixth and Second Varsity Four finished fifth in their respective petite finals.

Stanford won grand final titles across all five events at the championship while Virginia and California also secured medals throughout the morning session.

Final team standings showed Stanford leading with 132 points followed by Virginia (118), California (108), Syracuse (103), Miami (77), North Carolina (75), Duke (69), SMU (47), Notre Dame (37), Louisville (35), Clemson (29) and Boston College (25).

Imbesi’s selection to the All-ACC Third Team highlights individual achievement within a competitive season for Clemson rowing.
