Clemson, seeded third, will face sixth-seeded Notre Dame in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Women’s Lacrosse Tournament quarterfinals on April 22 at American Legion Memorial Stadium in Charlotte. The game is scheduled for 8 p.m. and will be broadcast on ACCN.

The matchup marks the sixth meeting between Clemson and Notre Dame, making it one of Clemson’s most frequent rivalries. Clemson holds a 2-3 record against Notre Dame but won their last encounter this season with a score of 12-9. Both teams are nationally ranked, with Clemson at No. 10 and Notre Dame at No. 16 in recent polls.

Clemson recently achieved its 50th win as a program under Head Coach Allison Kwolek by defeating Florida State, closing out the regular season with a ten-game winning streak. In that victory, four players recorded hat tricks: Regan Byrne led with four goals; Natalie Shurtleff, Brooke Goldstein, and Marleigh O’Day each scored three goals; Alexa Spallina provided four assists for a total of 98 points this season; Teagan Scott notched four caused turnovers to reach a season total of 58—one shy of breaking the school record.

Statistically, Clemson ranks among the top programs nationally and within the ACC across several categories including assists per game (No.2 NCAA/No.1 ACC), caused turnovers per game (No.2 NCAA/No.1 ACC), scoring margin (No.3 NCAA/No.2 ACC), shot percentage (No.1 NCAA/ACC), and overall team win percentage (No.17 NCAA/No.3 ACC). Individual milestones are also within reach: Emma Penczek needs five more points to reach fifty this season; Spallina is two points away from becoming the first Tiger to hit one hundred points in a single campaign; several other players are approaching career or seasonal records for goals or caused turnovers.
