Clemson women’s golf is tied for seventh place with Kentucky after the opening round of the NCAA Regional at Seminole Legacy Golf Club, according to a May 11 announcement. Isabella Rawl led the Tigers by finishing three-under par and is currently tied for second among all individuals.

The standings after day one show Florida in the lead at five under par, followed by Florida State and Wake Forest, both at three under. Eastern Michigan and ULM are tied in fourth place at one under par, while UCLA holds sixth place at two over par. Clemson and Kentucky trail closely behind, sharing seventh position.

Rawl recorded five birdies and two bogeys to finish her round. Sarah Uebelhart ended one over par with an eagle on hole 14, along with two bogeys, a birdie, and a double-bogey. Sydney Roberts finished two over par with five bogeys and three birdies. Ivy Schulze and Aitana Tuesta each concluded their rounds at three over par.

The regional features a 12-team field playing a 54-hole stroke play format across three days. The top five teams from each regional site will advance to the national championships in Carlsbad, California from May 22-27. Additionally, the lowest-scoring individual not on an advancing team from each regional will also qualify for nationals.

Clemson will return to action on Tuesday for day two of competition as pairings and tee times are expected to be released later Monday evening.
