Clemson women’s lacrosse lost to North Carolina, 17-6, in the second round of the NCAA Tournament at Dorrance Field on May 10. The match ended Clemson’s postseason run for the year.

The result is significant as it marks Clemson’s fourth appearance in an NCAA Tournament game, bringing their overall tournament record to 2-2. Facing a top-seeded opponent, Clemson saw contributions from five different scorers during the game.

Junior attacker Anna Brown led Clemson with two goals. Freshman midfielder Emma Penczek, sophomore attacker Brooke Goldstein, junior midfielder Natalie Shurtleff, and freshman midfielder Aubrie Eisfeld each added one goal. Goldstein reached exactly 125 career points with her performance. Defender Scott set a new single-season ground ball record for Clemson with her 58th ground ball of the year. Masaracchia became the first player in program history to reach 100 career caused turnovers.
