Former Pendleton High School standout Matthew Slaton played on Thursday, May 15 in hopes of reaching the NCAA Division II Baseball Championship

On Thursday, May 15, former Pendleton High School standout Matthew Slaton’s current collegiate team the Lander Bearcats lost 8-9 against the Catawba Indians in the NCAA Division II Baseball Championship.

The game took place at Newman Park at 3 p.m. and was the first matchup against the Catawba Indians in the tournament.

The Lander Bearcats’ next game will take place on Friday, May 16 at 3 p.m. at Newman Park.
