Sheri Biggs, a U.S. Representative, addressed a range of topics in a series of tweets posted in early January 2026, including community engagement efforts and international affairs.
On January 2, 2026, Biggs highlighted her visit to the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Lakelands. She wrote, “Consistency, support, and hope to unlock new opportunities for the next generation, the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Lakelands is working to see that generational impact realized. On a recent visit, I was able to see how from mentorship to meals to safe spaces after school, they’re”. The Boys & Girls Clubs organization provides programs aimed at youth development and safety.
The following day, on January 3, 2026, Biggs commented on foreign policy matters regarding Venezuela’s leader. She stated: “Nicolás Maduro is a thug who has trafficked poison into American neighborhoods for years through cartel-backed drug routes. Those fatal actions have decisive consequences. @POTUS has made it clear that he will promote peace and defend the rule of law.” Nicolás Maduro has faced international criticism for alleged human rights abuses and links between Venezuelan officials and criminal organizations involved in drug trafficking.
Later that day, Biggs referenced former President Donald Trump’s approach to protecting Americans abroad. She tweeted: “What President Trump did was put Americans first. He’s been promising, he’s been telling them, what would happen if you hurt our American citizens, and last night just showed what he will do to back up what he says.” In recent years, U.S. foreign policy actions under different administrations have emphasized both deterrence against threats to American citizens overseas and responses involving diplomatic or military measures.
