Graduates earn 476 degrees from Southern Wesleyan University

About 43.3 percent of the 476 degrees and certificates handed out by Southern Wesleyan University in 2017-18 were to students in business, management, marketing, and related support services programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Central conferred 145 bachelor's degrees and 61 master's degrees in business, management, marketing, and related support services programs.

But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in general business administration and management. Data shows the school gave out 145 bachelor's degrees in general business administration and management, followed by 46 associate's degrees in general studies and 35 master's degrees in human resources development.

The university enrolled 1,551 students for 2017-18, including 1,226 in undergraduate programs and 325 in graduate programs.
