AnMed Health: Introduction to Breastfeeding

AnMed Health recently issued the following announcement.

FREE to attend! Register by phone only, call 864.512.6255.

Attendance at this class is highly encouraged for ALL pregnant moms. Come and learn the amazing benefits of breastfeeding for both mom and baby. Classes are led by AnMed Health’s very own International Board Certified Lactation Consultants and Certified Lactation Counselors.

Topics to be discussed include tips for establishing breastfeeding well, how breastfeeding works, positioning and latch tips for comfort, understanding newborn feeding patterns, choosing a breast pump, and how to get help after discharge. Dad or other support person is welcome to attend with mom.

Registration should occur by the fifth month of pregnancy to help ensure your preferred session. Class should be completed four to six weeks before your due date.

This class is FREE and meets in the Peggy Gardner Deane Community Rooms at AnMed Health Women's and Children's Hospital on the second Sunday of each month from 2 to 4 p.m. To register, call 864.512.6255.
