On Thursday, May 8, former Pendleton High School standout Taylor Beak’s current collegiate team the Francis Marion Patriots won 6-0 against the Georgia Southwestern State Hurricanes in the NCAA Division II Softball Championship.

The game took place at FMU Softball Stadium at 3 p.m. and was the first matchup against the Georgia Southwestern State Hurricanes in the tournament.

The Francis Marion Patriots’ next game will take place on Friday, May 9 at 1 p.m. at FMU Softball Stadium.
