Clemson University announced on May 15 that three members of its women’s lacrosse team have been recognized as IL Nike Lacrosse Media All-Americans by Inside Lacrosse. Freshman defender Teagan Scott was named to the Second Team, freshman attacker Alexa Spallina made the Third Team, and junior attacker Natalie Shurtleff received Honorable Mention.

The recognition highlights notable achievements for each athlete during the season. Scott earned several honors, including IWLCA Division I South Region First Team and All-ACC First Team. She also appeared on the 2026 Tewaaraton Watch List and broke multiple Clemson records, such as single-season caused turnovers with 68 and freshman ground balls with 58. Scott scored two goals this season.

Spallina was named ACC Freshman of the Year and made both the IWLCA Division I South Region First Team and USA Lacrosse Second Team All-American list. She led the Atlantic Coast Conference in assists with 71—second-most in the nation—and set new single-season program records for assists (71) and points (110). Spallina became the first player in program history to reach 100 points in a season.

Shurtleff’s accomplishments include being selected for IWLCA Division I South Region Second Team, USA Lacrosse Magazine Second Team All-American, and making both preseason watch lists for major awards. She tied for most goals on her team with 43, tallied a total of 60 points, led the ACC in shot percentage at .597, and surpassed career milestones by reaching over 100 points against Vanderbilt and over 100 goals against Davidson.

According to Inside Lacrosse, “ILWomen Nike Lacrosse Media All-Americans are selected by a dozen voters who also vote in the weekly Media Poll. Voters submitted first-, second-, third- and honorable mention teams; those were tallied, with players receiving the highest vote totals sorted into teams.” The announcement said that Honorable Mention status is given to athletes who did not earn enough votes for one of the three main teams but still received significant recognition.

The university encouraged fans interested in attending games next season to purchase tickets through ClemsonTigers.com/Tickets/.
